Road Force Balancing

The most precise balancing for a smooth, vibration-free ride

Road force balancing goes beyond standard spin balancing. Using a Hunter road force balancer, we press a load roller against the tire to simulate the weight of the road and measure the combined force variation of the tire and wheel together.

That lets us match-mount the tire to the wheel and pinpoint vibration that conventional balancing can miss — ideal for a stubborn steering-wheel shimmy or a ride that never feels quite smooth.

What's included

Road Force Balancing FAQs

What is road force balancing?
A load roller presses against the tire to simulate the weight of the road, measuring the combined force of the tire and wheel so we can pinpoint vibration standard balancing misses.
How is it different from regular balancing?
Standard spin balancing only corrects weight imbalance. Road force balancing also measures stiffness variation and lets us match-mount the tire to the wheel for the smoothest possible ride.
Do I really need it?
It’s ideal if you still feel a vibration or steering-wheel shimmy after a normal balance, or whenever you want the smoothest ride from a new set of tires.
How long does it take?
It takes a little longer than standard balancing — typically about an hour for a set of four.
